Debra Lee Cheyne has combined her passion for design and textiles to create a line of ladies & girls swimwear and leisure wear. Debra lives in Noosa and is mother to two beautiful children, both of which have inspired her to launch Butterscotch Castle.
Butterscotch Castle is a range that is reminiscent of a bygone era. Debra uses beautiful quality cottons & laces, and applies unique textile techniques on the garments, such as shirring the bodice or puckering the hemlines. Each piece is literally a unique work of art, making Butterscotch Castle an exclusive fashion range with limited edition pieces – you’ll want to collect them all!
Debra grew up in New Zealand and comes from a family of Artists and thus her appreciation of art and craftsmanship is very evident and is reflected in her creative work. To date, this creative journey has allowed Debra to use her skills of design in many ways, through her artwork (beautiful and original wall art and sculptures) or her sewing skills (vintage couture dolls & fashion).
“This site is a little window into my world where you can see examples of the kind of work I do. They are all unique pieces – feel free to drop me an email and tell me what you think, I love hearing from you!
To see a wider range you can currently find me at the Eumundi Markets on Saturday and Wednesday mornings.”
